5 Tips for camping in hot weather!

Camping during scorching hot weather the days can be challenging and uncomfortable, but with the right preparation, you can still enjoy your camping trips all year round. Here are five tips to make your summer camping experience more relaxing and pleasant, even on those sweltering 30°C days:

1. Pack Refreshing Items:

To avoid Hot Weather we suggest including wet towels in your camping essentials. They are incredibly handy for instant refreshment when placed around your neck. Another great idea is to freeze old juice bottles or containers, which can serve as ice blocks in your cooler. Once they melt, you can use the cold water for drinking or cooling down.

2. Choose Breathable Clothing:

The type of clothing you pack is essential for staying comfortable in hot weather. Opt for loose-fitting garments made from breathable fabrics that allow air to circulate, reducing the temperature while you’re on the move.

3. Select the Right Camping Spot:

When setting up your campsite, look for a location with natural shade, such as under trees. This provides protection from direct sunlight and lowers the overall temperature inside your camper. If possible, camp near a water source like a lake or river, as it not only offers a refreshing dip but also creates a cooling breeze.

4. Maximize Shade and Ventilation:

Keep your camper cool by covering all windows with curtains and placing towels or reflective film against them to enhance shade and reduce heat penetration. Unzip the roof and open the roof windows to promote airflow, allowing the hot air to escape. Minimize opening the doors to maintain the cool air inside.

5. Cook and Relax Wisely:

To avoid adding extra heat inside your camper, cook your meals outside using a portable stove or campfire. This way, you can enjoy delicious meals without raising the indoor temperature. Spend leisure time under the shade of trees, relaxing with your companions and taking advantage of the natural breeze.

Remember, if all else fails, you can bring a portable fan to create extra airflow in your campervan. By following these tips, you can stay comfortable and beat the heat during your next summer camping adventure.
