What is the Longest Walk in Victoria?
The Grampians Peaks Trail is a 160 kilometre long and it is a world-class 13-day hiking experience that starts at Mt Zero, through Halls Gap and finishes at Dunkeld. There’s also the Halls Gap to Pinnacle loop trail that is 3-4 hours in duration and 8.5kms.
What is the Highest Walk in Victoria?
Mt Bogong is the tallest mountain in Victoria at 1986 metres. From the mountain creek carpark, there are two options – the Staircase or Eskdale Spur. Both are approximately eight kilometres to the summit, but well worth the climb to be rewarded with a 360-degree vista.
What are the Best Dog-Friendly Walks in Victoria?
There are plenty of options for walking your dog in Victoria either on or off-leash. The You Yangs East-West Walk is a two hour walk that circumnavigates Flinders Peak with panoramic views. Dogs must be on-lead.
An easy trail with a dog is the one-hour Lake Elizabeth Walk. It is hidden away in the Otways and takes you around Lake Elizabeth near Forrest, where you might be lucky enough to spot a platypus.

What are Some of the Best Short Walks in Victoria?
Millionaire’s Walk is a short walk that commences in Sorrento through a well-hidden gate to a pathway that borders local property with breathtaking water views and leads you to Point Nepean National Park for further exploration through the Quarantine Station and Fort Nepean.
Sherbrooke Falls Trail is nearby in Olinda with mountain ash that spans 200 years old, and there’s 1000 Steps (see below).
