Pakington street runs parallel to La Trobe Terrace and is a 3km strip of shops and cafes with the coolest new areas being at each end and more run of the mill good, gift and fashion shops in the middle.

BOOM GALLERY

Worth a mention is the VERY cool BOOM Gallery down the ‘river end’ (The Barwon River) of Pakington Street. Very cool handmade and gifts from local artists mean every treasure you find is one of a kind.

Go for a walk along the waterfront all the way along from the Achtung Camper workshop (one minute walk away) to the other side of Eastern Beach and Botanic Gardens, a relaxed 1 hour return walk.

GEELONG LIBRARY

Check out Geelong Library. We are not joking, we hang out at this brand new mind-blowing place at least once a week.  It’s about a three minute walk from the Achtung Camper workshop. Go and check it out before you judge us.

Torquay

Torquay is the gateway to the Surf Coast, some of the world’s best beaches (Point Addis, Point Impossible and Jan Juc are all rippers). Treat yourself to lunch at Ginger Monkey, then a beer and dinner at Blackman’s Brewery, Pholklore, Birdrock Cafe or for something a bit spesh, Bob Sugar or The Kyn. There’s plenty of foodie delights to choose from in this town.
