Roadside Assist: Volkswagen’s First Year Cover

Volkswagen’s first year roadside assistance is a new bonus now offered by VW with your van purchase.  It’s great for peace of mind on the road at home and away.

Benefits:

  • 24-hour Roadside Assist
  • emergency accommodation
  • car rental
  • towing
  • property assistance

VW’s additional benefits include:

  • flat batteries:

If you find yourself immobilised with a battery problem, VW will attend to your vehicle, test the battery for performance, jump start the flat battery or coordinate a battery replacement if required.

  • emergency fuel:

VW will provide sufficient petrol, diesel or AdBlue (to a maximum of 10 litres) for you to travel to the nearest available petrol station.

  • flat tyre:

VW will change your tyre with the vehicle’s serviceable spare wheel.

  • lost or locked keys:

Lost your keys or locked them in your van (don’t worry we’ve all been there!)? VW will provide all reasonable assistance (subject to proof of ownership shown) to:

  1. locate and deliver a spare key or
  2. arrange for the driver to retrieve the spare key, if this is more practical; or
  3. gain access to your vehicle (once a consent and indemnity form has been signed by you).
  • bogged vehicle:

VW will attend to and recover your vehicle from a bogged situation provided that reasonable and safe access is available to a conventional two wheel drive recovery vehicle and no other specialist equipment is necessary.

  • taxi and legal or medical advice:

Or if your vehicle cannot be mobilised due to a breakdown and must be transported to the nearest authorised repairer, VW will provide multiple taxi rides within 24 hours to a maximum value of $150.00 (inc. GST) so you and your passengers can continue your journey to the nearest town or within the same city where the breakdown occurred.
