Although it’s ok to purchase from a private seller, it is always safest to purchase from a dealership. With a private seller you have virtually no legal rights if you end up with a ‘lemon’. A dealer is legally obliged to provide you with a minimal warranty period initially and is also obliged Not to sell yo a ‘lemon’!
