Winter Camping: There’s Plenty of Options in Victoria

Coming into the colder parts of the year we thought we would give you a few winter camping ideas on our favourite places, some that just makes the trees sing. Here are our top three places to head over this winter season:

  1. Located in Errinundra National Park, seven hours away from Melbourne. It’s a destination for a long weekend escape. With 40,000 hectares of awe-inspiring eucalyptus forest surrounding the campsite, no doubt you will instantly relax into camp-mode bliss.

  2. Blue Pool Campground, Briagolong State Forest, surrounded by trails and natural sanctuaries. Additionally, this campsite is only a three-hour drive from Melbourne. This campsite is a winner with families including your four-legged friends. It has access for swimming if you can brave the colder days coming and has great campervan access.

  3. Stevensons Falls Campground, in Forrest, is a two-and-a-half-hour drive from Melbourne, which makes it a comfortable drive for a weekend. Located in the thick of the Otway National Park, this campsite is a must-see spot for winter. The campsite is located close to the breathtaking Stevenson waterfall, which is an easy one-hour walk.
